The Huntsville Master Chorale will be performing at the next Music at Messiah concert on Sunday, April 24. “Let the Earth Sing” features music celebrating the earth and calling us to be good stewards of its bounty.

Texts for the music are drawn from Chief Seattle, the Ute Nation, Thomas Merton, Emily Dickinson, e.e. cummings, and the late Dorothy Diemer Hendry of Huntsville, among others. The Chorale commissioned several works by J.D. Frizzell who is an emerging composer of international renown living in Memphis and a work by Dennis Clements, a member of the Chorale.

Collaborating with Arts programs in the Huntsville/Madison County schools, several art teachers have under-taken projects to have their students create some visual arts pieces related to Earth Day. Several of those artworks will be on display.
