Faythe Freese Reopens Music at Messiah Concert Series
After a two-and-a-half year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is thrilling to present the October 15, 2022, organ recital featuring Dr. Faythe Freese. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. We are pleased to offer this concert free of charge to the community. Donations and sponsorship opportunities are available at the door and greatly appreciated.
Dr. Faythe Freese, Professor Emeritus of Organ at the University of Alabama School of Music, is in demand as a recitalist throughout the United States, Europe, South Korea and Singapore. Her extensive travels to play pipe organs all over the world brings uncommon perspective and wisdom of the instrument in all its forms and expressions.
Dr. Freese will include works by Guilmant, African-American composer Florence Price, J.S. Bach, Sowerby and others.
